HCAA Track Athletes Bring Home Team and Indivdual Awards Student-athletes from the Horizon Central Athletic Association had an outstanding showing at the 2009 SHSAA Provincial Track & Field Championships. Fifteen HCAA athletes took home a total of twenty individual medals, including five gold medals, and the HCAA relay teams accumulated a further six medals. Ryan Graf of Humboldt Collegiate was crowned Provincial Champion in both the Jr.Boys 100m and 200m events and captured silver in the 100m hurdles.  At 28 points, he was the top point getter for the HCAA district.  The other athletes attaining the title of Provincial Champion were Humboldt Collegiate’s Meghan Flavel and Gerad Dyck (Sr. Girls 400m and Sr. Boys high jump respectively) and Bruno’s Cody Thiel (Jr. Boys discus throw).
