Silver for Watrous Girls at Provincial Curling Two girls teams from Watrous had great showings at the 2009 SHSAA Provincial Girls Curling Championship.  The HCAA was allowed two representatives at Provincial Girls Curling this year, and Watrous teams earned both spots at Districts.  Amazingly, both teams advanced to the medal round at Provincials, with Watrous #1 claiming silver and Watrous #2 finishing fourth. At the Mixed Provincials, Ituna finished 7th and Watrous 9th, while at the Boys Provincials, Humboldt Collegiate was one game shy of the medal round, finishing 5th.
