Five HCAA Soccer Teams Claim Provincial Medals It was a medal haul for HCAA soccer teams at the 2009 SHSAA Provincial Championships, with five teams earning top three finishes in their respective categories. Muenster did not disappoint the home crowd, staking claim to the gold in the inaugural 7 v 7 Boys championship.  Muenster defeated Rosthern Junior College 3-1 in the gold medal final. In the 1A Girls gold medal final (also held in Muenster), the Muenster girls also faced RJC.  The girls captured silver, losing 2-0 in the championship game. Humboldt Collegiate boys also captured silver, coming up just short in a 1-0 overtime heartbreaker to North Battleford John Paul in the 2A Boys category. It was double bronze for Lake Lenore, with the girls defeating VCA from Osler 6-1 and the boys defeating Cando 3-2.
